Mr. João Ribeiro serves as the Head of Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), Incheon, Republic of Korea. He leads the Centre’s efforts in providing advice to Governments in Asia-Pacific region on the development of long-term strategies for the promotion of the harmonisation and of the modernisation of international trade law.

Dr. Wolfgang Alschner, Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa, is an empirical legal scholar specialized in international economic law and the computational analysis of law. He holds a PhD in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, a Master of Law from Stanford Law School, a Master in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute as well as an LLB from the University of London and a BA in International Relations from the University of Dresden, Germany. Prior to joining academia, he worked for UNCTAD’s Section on International Investment Agreements. He co-founded the investment treaty analytics portal www. mappinginvestmenttreaties.com and has published in leading peer-reviewed journals.

Interview: Ms. Samira Sulejmanovic, Head of Unit for Bilateral Trade Relations, Bosnia & Herzegovina

Ms. Samira Sulejmanovic is the Head of Unit for Bilateral Trade Relations, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia & Herzegovina. She oversees the negotiation and implementation of international agreements (trade and economic cooperation, FTAs and PTAs, bilateral investment promotion agreements) and monitors and studies the conditions and various phenomena in bilateral trade cooperation.

Interview: Prof. Tanja-Masson Zwaan, Deputy Director, International Institute of Air and Space Law, Leiden University

Prof. Tanja Masson-Zwaan is Assistant Professor and Deputy Director of the International Institute of Air and Space Law at Leiden University. Tanja has specialised in the field of air and space law since 25 years. She is the President of the International Institute of Space Law since 2007 and has published papers on a variety of topics over the years.  In August 2012, she was appointed by the Dutch Government as an Arbitrator with the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague in the framework of the Optional Rules for Arbitration of Disputes Relating to Outer Space Activities.
